Once upon a time in 2016, Tessa and I met at my friend’s wedding — Tessa reached out to me the following year and we talked about her elopement in Hawaii and her intimate reception she was planning with family and friends. I probably said something like, Ouuu, Ahhh, I loveeeee it, amazing girlfriend, Hawaiiiiii?! (pack me in your suitcase, plz)!!! Sounds like I’m telling you about our love story! HAHA. But you know when you just click with someone from very beginning? That’s what happened when I met Tessa and Anton.
On that note, I could document Tessa and Anton’s love daily. They openly and happily shared their love with me from the day we met — That, my friend, is the greatest gift you can give a wedding photographer. Be you, be happy :) & Let me do the rest.
I couldn’t believe how fast August 18th, 2018 came by for these two! We started off the day in Eagan, Minnesota nearby their venue which by the way is a cute community center, see here. Tessa and Anton eloped in Hawaii the week before so their intimate reception was spent with close friends and family. A piece of advice for my future bride & groom’s, think about how you really want to remember your wedding. I love untraditional. I love elopements. I love intimate weddings. Why? Because you get to focus on all of your small and big moments; it is truly just about remembering each other and your commitment to love one another. Getting a little deep here but those are a couple reasons why.
I could probably write a story about how awesome Tessa and Anton is and how beautiful their wedding day was. I could also write a story about how awesome their family and bridal party was. I could also write about how they made me cry throughout their first dances. I’m not just talking about the bride and groom first dance… like all of them – Mom+Daughter, Mom+Son, Etc. Ughhhhh, tears galore. BUT, I won’t. Because I’d rather just show you.
There truly wasn’t a dull moment or a moment to forget :) Wishing the Skerjance’s a lifetime of love and happiness!!
