Hi lovelies! *waves
I’m officially missing youuuuu.
I miss my blog. I miss typing whatever is on my mind about whatever is floatin’ my boat… But let me tell you something… I’ve been living. I’ve been shooting with passion, working with so much drive. & Yes, I also allowed myself to shoot like a starving artist (“But a minor artist with no money goes as hungry as a genius. What drove them to do it? I believe that such people were not only choosing art, they were choosing the life of the artist. Art offered them a different way of living, one that they believed more than compensated for the loss of comfort and respectability.”) because I craved for that feeling of upmost satisfaction in my work. Not that I don’t already but there is something about giving yourself a break in this industry & coming back into photography with a new set of eyes. Dat’ be meh. You know what else? Its inspiring when you are around individuals with like-minds & it doesn’t even have to be related to photography. My motto lately: Do it with passion or not at all. Another reason why I’ve been MIA… I’ve been busy taking care of myself physically and mentally. If you haven’t followed me in instagram (getfitlikemc), you probably don’t know about my fitness journey. I was simply done feeling burnt out, so I started eating clean 100% and exercising 6x a week last year. The bad thing about that is (for me any way), I was really obsessive with the way I ate and it became a nightmare. Through my life as a momtog’ and a health-conscious nerd, I decided to start ‘relaxing’ with my photography business to really focus on how I can be a better photographer. & ‘relax’ my mind on how I viewed ‘health’; I have since started eating more flexible AKA IIFYM (if it fits your macros) & lifting more. Thank God, the pressure has dissipated & I have found a better me in the last 6 months. <3 Along with that … I started an amazing journey with Itworks Global. A one of a kind health company that promotes amazing whole food products (because you know, I’m a health nerd like that & I completely fell in love with itworks!). So, I added this to my daily health routine & seriously … the rest is history :) If you want to know more about my story, message me. If you asked me two things I am VERY passionate about… it would be photography & my health. Long story short, you (as an artist or just ‘self’ reasons) may have a breaking point in life… but it is better to ease up, take care of yourself, + simply let things ride out on its own… Most importantly, pick up new ventures & never stop dreaming.
This is a little catch up from yours truly.
